Dean joined the City in October 2022 as the new Director of the Community Services Department. He has more than 18 years in senior management working for the Government of Ontario. In the last seven years, he has worked for three municipalities as Director of Community Services and CAO.
In his spare time, Dean enjoys spending family time with his partner and his 14-year-old son. He has a passion for travelling, playing golf, scuba diving, and enjoys building his personal library, including antiquarian books. Dean is President and Board Chair of Athletics Ontario (track and field) and National Branch Chair.
