Are the indoor pools open?

The Templeman Aquatic Centre is open. Advanced booking will be required for recreational swims and registration for any programs will be done by calling 613-966-4632, online or in person. Space permitting, you can take a chance and arrive prior to the swim and register if space is available (we highly recommend you register in advance to avoid disappointment as many of our swims fill up quickly).

How do I reserve a time for swimming?

You can book a swim time for the Templeman Aquatic Centre online, by calling 613-966-4632 or in person at the customer service desk. Payment is required at the time of booking. Time slots fill up quickly, so book ahead to avoid disappointment.

How far in advance can I book a swim?

Swims are available for pre-registration at the beginning of the winter session up until April 2, 2023. The Spring schedule will come out in late March.

What if I need to cancel my booking?

If you need to cancel your booking, you can do this by phoning the Customer Service Desk at 613-966-4632 or you can now do it online on your client profile. View our cancellation policy for additional information. 

Will showers, change rooms and washrooms be open in the pool area? 

Showers will be available before pool entry and washrooms will be open. Swimmers must shower and wash before entering the pool. Lockers will be available.

Will there be swimming lessons?

There are swimming lessons available at the Templeman Aquatic Centre.

Can I help my child get ready for swimming lessons?

Yes, parent/guardians can come in with their child but must sit in the 2nd floor pool viewing area.

Are parents allowed to stay and watch swimming lessons?  If so where? How many parents/siblings?

Yes, parents/guardians are able to come in with their child and sit in the 2nd floor pool viewing area.

I don’t want to get in the pool. What are my options?

If parent/guardian is unable to accompany a child, then unfortunately we are unable to provide this service at this time.

What happens if my child is sick?

Please do not come to your lesson. If you’re going to miss a class please call 613-967-3200 ext. 3834 and let aquatic staff know.

Are arenas open?

All of our arenas are open and being actively used by our minor sports groups and men's leagues.

What are the user guidelines for arenas?

How many people are allowed on the ice?

A maximum of 160 participants are allowed on the ice at any given time.

Am I allowed to bring spectators with me to my ice booking?

Spectators are permitted in the facility.

Can I help my child get ready?

A parent/guardian is able to come in with a player and assist.

Will dressing rooms and showers be available?

Dressing rooms will be available 30 minutes before the booking. 

Are we allowed in the building before our rental? 

Participants can enter the facility at any time, but are not able to access dressing rooms until 30 minutes prior to booking. This rule is the same rule in place prior to COVID-19.

Will I have to wear a face covering or mask?

As of March 21, 2022 a facecovering is no longer required to enter the QSWC. You are more than welcome to continue to wear your facecovering while in the facility.

Can I book a birthday party at the Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre?

Are the boat launches open? 

Boat launches at South George Street and Herchimer are open. You can purchase your seasonal boat ramp pass online and then staff will send you your card in the mail. 

Are you offering summer camp this year?

We are offering 3 different camps with limited space this year.

Can I rent a community centre? 

At this time we are not renting our Community Centres. 

Can I rent a room at the QSWC?

Can I rent a picnic site?

What cleaning protocols do you have in place at the QSWC?

Enhanced cleaning and sanitation will take place throughout the building. High touch areas such as doors, PIN pads, sinks, player’s benches and railings will be cleaned regularly. 

What is the air quality in the facility?

Our facility staff do regular checks of our air quality.

• Air exchange specifically for our fitness rooms, we displace the volume of air in the weight, aerobics and yoga room on average every 10 minutes with fresh air.
• All of our recirculating air handlers in the building have had their pre filters upgraded to hospital grade filtration.
• All of our fresh air exchange units have Hepa filters which are even greater filtration.
• Our pool area air exchange is 50% greater than Ashrae standards for air quality.

Can I use the water fountains?

Water fountains and bottle filling stations are open for use. Players/participants should have clearly labelled water bottles.  Water bottles should be washed after each ice time and should not be shared. 

My program was cancelled. Will I get a refund?

All program participants have received a credit on their account for any cancellations as a result of COVID-19. Clients can request a refund by calling 613-966-4632.

Is the walking track open? 

The FDC Indoor Track is open seven days week from 6:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. (except for holidays and special events).

Is the gymnasium open? 

The gymnasium is now open for our programs.

Can I drop-in for a program?

Pre-booking is required for all of our programs.

Can I register for only the fitness classes I can attend rather than the whole session? 

Yes, you can pay per class, if space is available. Pre-registration is still required. 

How do I sign up for a program?

You can sign up online or over the phone at 613-966-4632 with our customer service representatives. You can also make an appointment if you need to register in person.

Where is Parkdale Community Centre located?

Parkdale is located at 119 Birch Street.

Can I sign my friend up for a class?

We are asking that you only sign people up within your household.

Is the 50+ Centre open? 

At this time we are open for select programming with pre-registration required. We also offer programs through ZOOM and on the phone.

Are the City's splash pads open?

Our splash pads will open in May of 2023. They are located at Kinsmen, Selma Bochnek Splash Pad at Parkdale Veteran's Park and West Riverside. See splash pad hours.
